This book includes explicit scenes of good sex and mediocre sex. In addition, it contains nonexplicit narratives of prostitution and adults role-playing violent sexual assault. The latter is performed by the participants consensually and with great pleasure.

The story also contains violence, which is somehow more socially acceptable. Besides the obvious kickboxing, there’s gun violence and domestic violence with the abuser being physically punished.

Due to her sexuality, the protagonist develops some pretty intense self-hatred. Dealing with that is a big part of the book.
